Level 2 Teaching Assistant with HLTA Role

B3 SCP 7 – 11 – (£20,092-£21,748) pro rata – 20 hours per week

S01 SCP 23 – 25 – (£27,741-£29,577) pro rata – 10 hours per week

 

Term Time Only + 5 training days

 

To start Monday 6th September 2021

 

We wish to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who either has, or is willing to work towards a HLTA qualification.

 

The post will be 15 hours as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, 5 hours Lunchtime Supervisor and 10 hours as a HLTR (Lunchtime cover is paid at TA rate).

 

We are seeking a TA / HLTA who:

 

  • is enthusiastic and highly organized about all aspects of learning and teaching with high expectations of achievement, attainment and behavior from all pupils;
  • has a belief in inclusion, diversity and the right of each child to be successful whatever their needs, abilities and background;
  • is able to inspire, motivate and foster excellent relationships, working in partnerships with pupils, staff, parents, governors and our wider community;
  • has good inter-personal skills, a sense of humor and the ability to work as part of a hardworking, enthusiastic and committed team;
  • has experience across the primary phase;
  • has strong ICT skills;
  • is committed to their own professional development and is keen to make significant contribution to the like of our school;
  • will support the Christian ethos of our school

Playworker – Breakfast Club

 

A1 SCP 1-2 (£18,065 - £18,198) pro rata – 5 hours per week

7:30am – 8:45am Mon-Thu

 

Term Time Only  - To start Monday 6th September 2021

 

We wish to appoint a Playworker to join our breakfast club team, Monday to Thursday, 7:30am – 8:45am.

 

Responsibilities will include;

 

  • Ensure that all the equipment required for the session is set up before receiving pupils such as, putting the tables and activities out

 

  • Prepare food, such as clean and chop fruit, make toast or other simple snacks as directed

 

  • Supporting pupils while they eat snacks/meals cutting up food for pupils and making sure tables are clean and that water is available

 

  • Ensure the health and safety of children in your care at all times, such as know who has gone to the toilet and ensure any potential dangers such as spillages are cleaned up etc.

 

  • Ensure standards for healthy eating and table manners are maintained

 

  • Lead the children in the establishment of suitable games/activities, ensuring the inclusion of all pupils

 

  • Report accidents to the manager and complete an accident form if necessary

 

  • To treat all information relating to families as confidential

 

  • Ensure that school behaviour management policies are implemented

 

  • Support the work of other extended services workers

 

  • Support induction and training of new staff as required by the manager

 

  • Respond to duty delegation as required by the manager

 

  • Record inappropriate pupil behaviour and convey serious incidents to the manager

 

  • Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and stored away, as necessary at the end of the session

 

  • Assist the manager to collect monies from parents/carers, check money collected complete records and lock away.

 

  • To ensure promotion and support of Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety

 

  • To undertake any other duties that are commensurate with the post
