Bug Hotel Competition Winners
Harriet and Matilda in Year 4 were chosen as the winner’s of a competition set by Leeds City Council and IBIS Hotels to design a sustainable bug hotel to be built in a city centre park. The winning designs have been made into giant wooden structures by students from Leeds Building College. The girls went to Leeds with Mrs Bishop, Miss Harvey and their families to see their designs brought to life in Leeds Merrion Gardens. They were presented with prizes and certificates to congratulate them for their fabulous designs, which incorporate sustainable resources. If you are ever in Leeds, go and take a peek and see if any bugs have found a new home in them.
